This Chardonnay marks the beginning of OFFROUTE's journey-and no vineyard better captures our ethos than Alder Springs.  Remote, wild, and meticulously farmed, its extreme conditions and low-yield regenerative viticulture produce fruit of striking intensity and purity. The result is a wine layered with texture and energy, shaped as much by patience as by place. 

The 2023 OFFROUTE Chardonnay opens with expressive aromas of honeysuckle, zesty citrus, nutmeg dusted baked pear and is layered with a whisper of tropical notes. On the palate, flavors build into a vibrant crescendo of soft Meyer lemon, Honeycrisp apple, ripe mango and a hint of fresh baked bread, all underscored by a creamy texture. A streak of sea-infused minerality glides through the long, seamless finish. Graceful, complex, and balanced—this is Chardonnay with direction. Even when the path to get there was undeniably off route.
